QGIS Metis splash screen: Since we call each ‘point’ release of QGIS after a planetary moon, Metis was chosen as the name for this release. Metis is the closes (and smallest moon orbiting Jupiter). The choice of Metis is symbolic since QGIS 0.11.0 is the last planned release before QGIS 1.0 is announced.
