Gnome Themes working

Today I finally got to the bottom of why my gnome themes mostly wouldnt work - especially nice ones line ubuntustudio and murrine. The Gnome appearance dialog previews for most themes showed the preview as a corrupted image and there were lots of errors on conole like this:

 (gnome-appearance-properties:7554): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_get_data: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)’ failed

I discovered on the ubuntu forums that this is a known bug and doing:

 sudo apt-get remove gtk-qt-engine

Would fix the issue which indeed it did! Gnome looks the most beautiful I have ever seen it on my desktop now and even firefox is themed correctly. Wow!
