HP releases its first mass-market Linux PC
Ending months of rumors, Hewlett-Packard appears to have released its first mass-market PC with pre-installed Linux. Specifically, the company will soon be selling RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) Desktop 5 on its HP dx2250 PC to Australian customers. (via News dugg by timlinux)

Via’s first motherboard in the playing-card-sized ‘pico-ITX’ format (3.8 x 2.8 inches) has just become available from several online retailers, at prices within the reach of hobbyists and experimenters. I spent the evening trying to build Qt3.3.8 on OSX so I could compile
CDPWizard for someone. Had to fiddle about a bit to get it to build.
Here is what I did in the end (note that you need xcode and gdal
installed*):
