Welsh biochemist and engineers have developed a device they believe can capture greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles, so they can be fed to algae, who in turn help produce a biodiesel. Capture rates is said to be up to 95% effective. The Greenbox device would get exchanged about once every full tank of fuel. (via News dugg by timlinux)

QGIS 0.9 release plans
QGIS 0.8.1 is released and with it my first stint in my new role as Release Manager. I would like to say a very big ‘thank you’ to all the people who helped squash bugs, submit patches, convert the build system in 0.8 branch to cmake, update the msys environment and so on. Since it was my first time orchestrating a release, there were a few kinks in the process which hopefully will not...
